JUSTIN McBRIDE
CO-FOUNDER
Justin, who was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, has been civically engaged since an early age, serving on state and national youth leadership councils and as a member of the Positive Force Players, a peer-to-peer education based theatre troupe. After high school he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, deploying several times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon completing active duty, he went on to earn a BS in Project Management and a MPA in Nonprofit Management. He also spent time as an Outdoor STEM Instructor at Tonto Creek Camp, Branch Director with the Boys & Girls Clubs, Program Manager for Arizona Affiliate of the Partnership for a Drug-Free America, Director of Programming for Arizona SADD, and consulting for various organizations including the Office of National Drug Control Policy. His love of program development and empowering others in their own endeavours eventually led him to cofound Social Profit Initiative, which focuses on supporting nonprofit organizations and social entrepreneurs in building effective and sustainable solutions to challenges facing people and our planet.

HAYDEN PROUTY
CO-FOUNDER
Hayden, originally from Rhode Island, is a transplant to the Southwest who fell in love with the diverse natural ecosystems across Arizona. Growing up with volunteerism as a family activity, he spent many weekends with his family engaged with the community and organizing Earth Day events. While working on his BS in Industrial Design & Engineering, he coordinated trail maintenance projects, shoreline cleanups, and took part in Habitat for Humanity builds. After graduating, Hayden spent time as a material designer and artisan furniture maker, while teaching as an adjunct professor at Philadelphia University. After moving to Arizona, he became the Program Manager for a nonprofit based in the Tonto National Forest where he developed and led outdoor STEM based curricula. Hayden has consulted with numerous environmental organizations over the years and is a certified Environmental Educator through the Arizona Association for Environmental Education. As one of the founding members of Social Profit Initiative, he is excited to be able to utilize his own passions and experience to not only develop programs, but also support others in their social profit endeavors.
